INAKA Travel offers intimate, bespoke, culturally grounded travel experiences in the countryside of the Japanese Northern Alps. We highlight local food, community, onsen, and crafts.

Travel group sizes capped at 6 travelers per experience. This is both to ensure the quality of the tour experience as well as the maximum capacity for transportation and accommodation.
Experiences are 4 nights, 5 days.
Private transportation and translation provided.
Cost is $5500 USD
$1000 non refundable deposit is due to hold spot (if selected after application process)

At this time, we are not able to accommodate strict dietary restrictions. Main staples of Japanese cuisine include dashi (fish stock) and soy sauce (containing gluten).

Our tours are tattoo-friendly, including our curated tours of tattoo-friendly local onsen (hot springs).

Our tours are queer-friendly! INAKA Travel guides are queer and our tour partners are all queer-friendly. Homophobia and transphobia will not be tolerated on this tour from anyone, guests or partners. We do visit onsen, and if you are trans and/or GNC and are not comfortable using the public shared bath, we are happy to talk to you about options that can meet your personal comfort level.

INAKA Travel experiences are currently available to travelers 18+.

INAKA Travel has partnered with a locally owned and run kominka, which is a historic, renovated, traditional Japanese home.
The home comes with three separate rooms with two beds each. Guests will be sharing a room with one other traveler.
There is one toilet and one shower/traditional cast iron goemon bath in the home.
Visits to onsens are planned to allow for ease of bathing.

If chosen, a non-refundable down payment of $1000 is required.
